Mario Kart World Direct Length Confirmed by Nintendo

Fans now know how long the April 17 Mario Kart World Nintendo Direct livestream is going to be, with the presentation set to last around 15 minutes. A new Mario Kart game was first shown off during the official unveiling of the Nintendo Switch 2 console in January, but it wouldn’t be until the Switch 2 Nintendo Direct livestream earlier this month that gamers got to see Mario Kart World in full. This iteration of the classic mascot kart-racing franchise will launch alongside the Switch 2 console itself on June 5, and it’s adding new features like an open-world Free Roam mode that lets players explore the colorful landscapes of Mario Kart World at their own pace.

Toward the end of the official Mario Kart World trailer, Nintendo promised to reveal more information about the game during a dedicated Nintendo Direct on April 17. Before that, fans got to see more of the game in action during a few special Nintendo Treehouse livestreams, which featured gameplay footage and other fun tidbits surrounding Mario and company’s latest racing adventure.

As reported by VGC, the Mario Kart World Direct will last approximately 15 minutes, with Nintendo saying that it will provide detailed information about the new Switch 2 software. The presentation will be streamed on April 17 at 6 AM Pacific Time/9 AM Eastern, and is being broadcast on both YouTube and the Nintendo Today app.
