Fortnite Is Getting Another MCU Crossover

Fortnite has announced that it will soon be releasing skins for White Widow and Winter Soldier ahead of the upcoming MCU film Thunderbolts*. As Chapter 6 Season 2 comes to a close, fans are already looking toward the future to see what’s next for Fortnite.

The popular battle royale recently made an appearance at Star Wars Celebration Japan, where it was officially revealed that Fortnite‘s next season will feature a major Star Wars theme. The upcoming season, Galactic Battle, will introduce characters like Emperor Palpatine, Darth Jar Jar, and Mace Windu to the game. It will also include new vehicles like the X-Wing and Tie Fighter, giving players a whole new way to fight on the battlefield.

Epic Games recently announced that fans will be able to earn another free skin in Fortnite, as the upcoming White Widow outfit will be rewarded to a limited number of players who participate in the upcoming Thunderbolts Cup on April 25. Gamers who wish to participate will need to find a partner, as the Thunderbolts Cup is only for duos looking to take home the top prize. Fans who participate will be awarded points for winning matches, getting eliminations, and ranking as high as possible. Players with the most points in each region will be granted the White Widow costume for free. However, that’s not all, as players who manage to stack up 40 points will be rewarded with the White Widow Wrap. Even those who only manage to earn 8 points will be given the Winter Soldier Wrap for free.

Winter Soldier and White Widow Are Coming to Fortnite

Those who don’t manage to participate in the cup or earn any rewards will still be able to purchase the cosmetics when they come to Fortnite‘s Item Shop on April 30. In addition to the cosmetics previously mentioned, a new Winter Soldier skin will be available for purchase. Gamers will also be able to pick up emotes, back blings, pickaxes, and wraps that match these new skins. While Epic Games has announced that all items will be available in the Item Shop, there’s no official word on just how much everything will cost.

Many fans were unhappy with the recent prices associated with the collaboration between Fortnite and Adventure Time, as not all the cosmetics were available within a bundle. The lack of an all-inclusive bundle meant that acquiring every cosmetic cost players more than usual, which caused some people to skip the crossover altogether. Numerous people are waiting to see how future collaborations will be handled in the game’s Item Shop. With a new Thunderbolts Cup to participate in and a whole new season on the way, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future of Fortnite.
