When does Warzone Ranked come out?

Warzone Ranked is set to come to Verdansk, but how long do players have to wait?

In October 2024, Raven Software controversially removed Ranked from a traditional battle royale map and added it to Resurgence. Since then, the game mode hasn’t appeared on a large Warzone map. That drought is finally coming to an end soon.

Let’s jump right into when Ranked Play will be added to Verdansk.

Warzone Ranked returns to Verdansk at the launch of Season 3 Reloaded, which we expect to start on Thursday, April 24.

Ranked Play has the same format that fans know and love. All players in Bronze earn Skill Rating (SR) to progress through all seven skill divisions, all in an attempt to earn a spot in the coveted top-250. Players earn SR by getting kills, assists, and wins.

Losing matches and poor performances cause you to lose SR. At the end of every season, players earn rewards based on the highest rank they reached during that season. Trios is the only available squad size in Ranked, and some weapons and equipment items are banned.

In Season 3 Reloaded, there will be a complete rank reset, placing everyone in Bronze, so everyone starts from the same place. However, in Season 4, there will only be a soft reset, meaning players will only drop a few ranks.

Activision has also confirmed that Warzone will implement a new cheating countermeasure that was added to Black Ops 6. If you play against a cheater and lose the match, players who lost will get their SR back once the cheater is detected.

In addition, Season 3 introduced an accessibility option that allows console players to enable crossplay, but not be matched against PC users. This should help avoid cheaters, which is a massive problem on PC.

Is Warzone Ranked Resurgence Coming Back?

Raven Software currently has no plans to add Ranked to Resurgence.

Ranked wasn’t available in the standard battle royale format when it was on Resurgence, so it would make sense that it won’t be available in Resurgence when it gets added to Verdansk.

Despite there being no Ranked Resurgence, Season 3 Reloaded has everything fans would want from an update. The mid-season update reintroduces a moving train, adds more exterior ascenders on the outside of buildings, and brings back iconic Contracts, Field Upgrades, and Killstreaks.
