Blue Prince: How to Solve the Underpass Puzzle Box

In Blue Prince, you can get an allowance every day that gives you a little pocket money to start the day. In order to upgrade this amount and have a few more coins waiting for you on the Entry Way table, you will need to solve some puzzle boxes in Blue Prince.

There are several of these boxes hidden in several of the rooms, including the Trading Post in Blue Prince. There is also one in the Underpass, and this one has one of the more challenging puzzle boxes in the game.

There is a mystery machine in the Laboratory floorplan of Blue Prince that doesn’t seem to do anything, but it does have a solution.

The Location of the Underpass Puzzle Box

In order to get to this puzzle box, you will need to first open the Red Door in the Underpass inside the Boiler Room by sending power to the red box in it. Once this is lit up, you will be able to go inside that door, which is right off of the pathway to the lever for Room 46 in Blue Prince.

After that, you need to position the giant rotating gear in the Underpass to make sure you can walk across to the Red Door, and it is lifted up to the second level. This will allow you to search the two rooms you can reach from the Red Room’s overpass over the rotating gear in the Basement area of Blue Prince.

The Answer to the Underpass’ Puzzle Box in Blue Prince

In order to solve this one, you will need to make sure that all four corners of the box are turned off. So you need to focus on getting the gray boxes alone in the line, allowing you to click on them and remove them entirely. Here is the order you need to hit the buttons to make that happen:

Just like all the other puzzle boxes, there will be an allowance token inside that will permanently raise your daily allowance in Blue Prince by two coins. After that, the box will disappear from the game for good, so you can’t keep going back and picking up the same box to get even more coins every day. There are other ways you can raise your daily coins, but the puzzle boxes are easy to spot and complete whenever you happen by one.
