The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5, but is the game enhanced for the PS5 Pro?
Oblivion Remastered is a loving tribute to the original game, which has gone on to be remembered as one of the best RPGs of all time. Bethesda built from the ground up and overhauled visuals. This includes a new lighting system, enhanced landscapes, and more realistic character models and lip-syncing.
The game retains the same charm that fans know and love, but its combat has been revamped to include sound effects, as well as enhanced sound and visual effects. Additionally, the UI features quality-of-life improvements, new dialogue lines, and a revamped leveling system. The PS5 takes full advantage of everything the remaster has to offer.

On the PlayStation Store, Sony confirmed that The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is PS5 Pro Enhanced.
PS5 Pro Enhanced titles can be played at 60fps, up to 120fps, with 4K output, and advanced ray tracing. Sony did not reveal precisely how Oblivion Remastered leverages the console’s hardware, but Bethesda provided fans with a clearer idea of what it entails.
In the extended look blog, Bethesda confirmed, “The advanced real-time lighting system accurately simulates how light interacts with the environment, resulting in more realistic atmospheric effects.”
With advanced ray-tracing, the PS5 Pro will be able to take full advantage of the new lighting system and utilize shadows more effectively.
If you already have a PS5, that should be more than enough to run The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, but the PS5 Pro does have a few massive upgrades.
Check out our guide for a comprehensive breakdown of how the PS5 Pro outperforms the base system. However, for a few key highlights, increased system memory provides the PS5 with over 28% more bandwidth.
Additionally, it renders 45% faster than the PS5, and ray-tracing is 2-3 times better, or even up to four times better in some cases.
To find out which games are PS5 Pro-enhanced, you can refer to the complete list. In total, there are 55 games, including the likes of God of War Ragnarök, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, Diablo IV, and more.
Upgrading to the PS5 Pro is worthwhile if these benefits appeal to you, but it’s not necessary to enjoy The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.
