Whether you’re sticking to the main questline or planning to join a guild, it’s always smart to have some Gold saved up. And what better way to earn it than by taking on fierce opponents in the blood-soaked Arena? The Arena becomes available pretty early, offering both a steady income and a fun challenge. Here is how to join it in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.

How To Join The Arena In Oblivion Remastered

After completing the tutorial section of the game and exiting the sewers, open up the map and fast travel to Imperial City Arena. You can walk the whole way there, but it is recommended that you save time by fast traveling. You will spawn right outside the Arena, where you can find Hundolin. Talk to him, and he will tell you to speak with Owyn, the Blademaster. Turn left, and you will spot a door leading to the Arena Bloodworks.

Inside the Bloodworks, take the first left, and at the far end, you can find a grumpy Redguard. You can select the option to become a combatant, for which he will give you a Blue Raiment that you must equip to fight in the Arena.

The timings for the Arena are from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and you can simply talk to Owyn whenever you are ready for a match. Do keep in mind that upon winning, you should not try to loot the opponent’s corpse, as that is forbidden.

Fighting In The Arena

After Owyn tells you to go up to the Arena, you can equip your magic spells and weapon and head through the door of the Arena. The first fight should be very easy and should not take you more than three minutes to complete. Once you are done, head back down the way you came and interact with the Basin of Renewal to restore Stamina, Magicka, and Health. Talking to Owyn again will reward you with 50 Gold, and you can start the next match right away. After every three matches, you rank up and get a Trophy/Achievement.

If you made your way to the Arena directly after exiting the Sewers, it is best to stop when you reach Bloodletter, as the fights will continue to become more challenging. You can continue when you level up and get more adept at the game’s combat system.
