World of Warcraft is still going strong over 20 years on from its initial launch date, but players were recently growing frustrated by the Great Vault’s duplicate rewards. Thankfully, Blizzard has released a statement to remedy the issue. World of Warcraft’s The Great Vault is a weekly reward chest offering players extra gear for thwarting enemies during raids, completing dungeons on a higher difficulty, and participating in overworld activities.
Since its 2004 debut, the MMO has dished up ten major expansion packs, the latest being 2024’s The War Within, and two further expansions have also been announced for future content, called Midnight and The Last Titan, and are expected to release in 2026 and 2027 at the earliest. World of Warcraft is hands-down one of the best fantasy games of the 2000s, but the IP has also stood the test of time and retained its popularity in 2025 thanks to Blizzard’s ongoing management.
