Ghost of Yotei Receives a Rating in Taiwan

Ghost of Yotei is already being rated in some countries, with its Taiwan rating surfacing online recently.

Ghost of Yotei Has Been Rated ‘R’ in Taiwan

Spotted by Gematsu, Ghost of Yotei has received an ‘R’ rating in Taiwan. The plot features violence, tobacco, alcohol, and inappropriate language, which is why it may have received an 18+ rating. Additionally, the game has been rated for the PS5, but a launch date has not been confirmed for the title. Many players are hoping that a release date will arrive soon, as it usually happens when the game starts getting rated.

We already know that Sucker Punch is staying strong with its 2025 release window for Ghost of Yotei, as that is what their senior communications manager reconfirmed last month. Being rated in Taiwan solidifies the hope that the game will be released this year. However, we are yet to hear any official announcements about the game since the reveal last year at PlayStation’s State of Play event.

Ghost of Yotei is the sequel to Sucker Punch’s critically acclaimed title, Ghost of Tsushima. The events of the upcoming game begin 300 years after the previous title, and this time, we follow the adventure of a new Ghost, Atsu. Atsu has been fueled by fury and determination to exact her revenge for the death of her family. However, you decide how she evolves the legend of the Ghost and this time, you have some new weapons too, including ōdachi, kusarigama, and dual katanas.

In other news, Shuhei Yoshida recently praised the Ghost of Yotei’s early stages of development. What are your thoughts on Ghost of Yotei receiving a rating in Taiwan? Let us know in the comments or on our new community forum!
