Cheats have always played an integral role in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and they are also present in the remaster. Here is everything you need to know about the console commands and how to use them.
Bending the rules and creating your content historically hasn’t been frowned upon in Elder Scrolls games. Players held out hope they would be able to use mods in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, but Bethesda confirmed that mods are not officially supported.
It’s unlikely that existing mods work, but that hasn’t stopped the community from trying. There are already over 100 different mods for Oblivion Remastered, despite the lack of official support. However, although there is no mod support, players can still create their own experience with cheats.

If this is your first time using Console Commands for a game, here are the steps required.
- Boot up the Steam app.
- Find The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered in your Library.
- Right-click on The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.
- Select Properties.
- Add -devmode to the end of the code under Launch Options.
- Confirm the change.
- Start The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.
- Press the Tilde Key (`) on your keyboard.
- Doing so opens up the Console Command function for us to cause chaos.
Oblivion Remastered has several different types of cheats that impact your level, attributes, the weather, which horse you ride, and more.
