For example, when players walk around the world on foot or jump, they can level up their Athletics.

Anyway, sometimes leveling up can happen in the most inopportune situations, like in the middle of a big story quest. The placement of the bed doesn’t matter, though, as long as it isn’t red when selecting it, as that could mean it belongs to somebody else, and enemies can’t be nearby either. Once players sleep successfully, they can choose three basic stats to put ranks into, like Strength, which dictates attack strength and weight limits, while Endurance can increase HP.

It may be obvious, but getting the best gear is a great way to create a more powerful character in an RPG. Finding a random cave is also a choice, but players just have to remember where it is.
