The Cheshire Cat is first introduced once players enter the Wonderland Realm in Disney Dreamlight Valley. The character is found lounging on the red tree in one corner of the forest, giving players vague instructions on how to find Alice. It first sends you to find smiles in the forest and then to get the necessary ingredients for the More Time recipe. If that’s not enough, players will need the character’s help again to help tiny Alice, and the Cheshire Cat just sends you to get more materials for the Contrary Perfume.
It’s quite tricky to unlock the Cheshire Cat as a character in Disney Dreamlight Valley, as it loves riddles and causing mayhem all over Dreamlight Valley. Some characters, like Scrooge McDuck, will get tangled up in the chaos, and it’s your duty as leader to help them and stop the Cheshire Cat from causing more trouble. Although it wouldn’t be weird for the cat to make other people’s lives harder, as it proved time and time again in the original Alice in Wonderland, it was a menace more than a help for poor Alice.

How To Unlock The Cheshire Cat In DDV – Disney Dreamlight Valley
Currently, it’s not possible to invite the Cheshire Cat in DDV to the valley as you need to complete many quests over the following weeks. These quests will be released through the end of April and the beginning of May. The developers have released a statement regarding how to unlock the Cheshire Cat in Disney Dreamlight Valley:
- Complete the Mannequin Madness quest after welcoming Alice to the Valley.
- On April 30th, the Cheshire Cat will cook up new problems.
- On May 7th, the Cheshire Cat is up to something fishy.
- Players can unlock the Cheshire Cat in DDV after May 7th.
After completing various quests and unlocking Alice in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you can actually go back to the realm and speak with the cat to invite it to the valley. However, even after Dreamers follow the cat’s trail, the character disappears and cannot be found. It’s later revealed that you need to head inside Scrooge McDuck’s store to trigger another quest, which will be the first of many towards unlocking the Cheshire Cat. Speaking with Alice sadly won’t yield any results, as she will simply state that the Cheshire Cat is somewhere in the valley and won’t appear unless it wants to.
