Bethesda did the thing and released Oblivion Remastered. It’s a top-to-bottom overhaul of the 2006 classic, and the company shadow-dropped it on the same day it was announced. Oblivion Remastered is a testament to the original, so let’s see which platforms it can be played on.
Despite Bethesda’s partnership with Microsoft, not much has changed. Yes, Xbox and PC get timed releases from time to time. But all this means is PlayStation sometimes has to wait longer to play a new game like Indiana Jones and The Great Circle. Oblivion Remastered is developed and handled by Virtuous, but it’s still a Bethesda title.

Is Oblivion Remastered on PS4?
Oblivion Remastered is not available to play on the PlayStation 4.
Old-gen PS users have to miss out on this one. It’s a shame, as I still remember playing and enjoying Oblivion back on the PS3 in 2007! (That’s how old I am.) The PS4 is becoming quite outdated now, and with millions of PS5 units sold, it’s at the point where few companies release PS4 ports—Oblivion included.
Is Oblivion Remastered on PS5?
PlayStation 5 players can enjoy Oblivion Remastered from day one!
There’s no timed exclusivity for Oblivion Remastered on PS5. The open-world title has been reimagined and released on Sony’s latest hardware monster, and it’s home to Dark Elves and Khajits once more. If you’re on PlayStation 5, you can hop in right now and start cleaning up the trophy list.
Is Oblivion Remastered on Xbox One?
Microsoft has decided not to commission an Xbox One port for Oblivion, so it’s another L for previous-gen owners.
It’s the same reasoning for the Xbox One as the PS4. The technology inside is outdated, and newer games require the latest and greatest chips, processors, and drivers. An Xbox One port would likely be poorly optimized, run badly, and it’s ultimately not worth the development time.
Is Oblivion Remastered on Xbox Series X|S?
Xbox Series X|S users obviously get Oblivion Remastered, so it’s worth upgrading if you haven’t already.
This was the biggest no-brainer of the lot. Doubts lingered about a day-one PlayStation 5 port, but the Xbox Series X|S was always getting the goods if you had coin. What’s more is it’s available for free to Xbox Game Pass subscribers!
Is Oblivion Remastered on PC?
Oblivion Remastered is also available to buy and download on PC from the likes of Steam.
Another tick in the platforms column here. It’s an easy release for PC players, and Steam saw the game’s player count quickly surge past 100K players within hours after its launch.
Is Oblivion Remastered on Nintendo Switch?
Nintendo Switch owners currently have to miss out on Oblivion Remastered.
