Lethal guns to hit your target on Verdansk.
Call of Duty: Warzone season three has really shaken up the weapon meta, including the sniping category. If you’re trying to rack up kills from a distance in Verdansk, having one of the best snipers in Warzone is a must.
With updates to weapon balance, attachments, and overall gameplay, it’s the perfect time to take a fresh look at which snipers are actually worth using. So we’re breaking down the best sniper guns in the battle royale mode this season, the optimal loadouts to run with them, and the ideal class setup to help you stay sharp from afar.
Best sniper loadouts in Warzone season 3
LW3A1 Frostline

Slot | Attachment |
---|---|
Muzzle | Monolithic Suppressor (no mini-map firing ping, bullet velocity, damage range) |
Barrel | Long Barrel (damage range) |
Magazine | Fast Mag I (reload quickness, aim down sight speed, sprint to fire speed) |
Comb | Quickdraw Riser (aim down sight speed, jumping aim down sight speed) |
Fire Mods | 7.62 NATO Overpressured (bullet velocity) |
The LW3A1 Frostline might be the first sniper and unlocked by default, but don’t let that fool you, as it still packs a serious punch on Verdansk and holds its own in season three.
This LW3A1 Frostline Warzone build is deadly from distance, with boosted range and bullet velocity that let you one-shot enemies from up to 80 meters away. And if the action gets a bit close, you’re covered by the quicker ADS and reload speeds, allowing you to snap off shots fast without stressing about getting rushed.
If four bullets feel a bit too limiting, you can swap out the Fast Mag I for the Extended Mag I. You’ll get a bigger magazine without sacrificing mobility or handling.
Kar98k

Slot | Attachment |
---|---|
Optic | Range Caller V3.4 Optic (7.0x magnification) |
Barrel | Prazisionsgewehr 762 Long Barrel (bullet velocity, damage range) |
Underbarrel | XRK Edge BW-4 Handstop (aim down sight speed, sprint to fire speed) |
Stock | No Stock (aim walking speed, sprint to fire speed, movement speed, aim down sight speed) |
Ammunition | 7.92x57mm High Grain Rounds (bullet velocity, damage range) |
If you’re a quickscoping sniper who likes to get aggressive and dominate mid-range fights, the classic Kar98k with this setup is right up your alley.
Thanks to the XRK Edge BW-4 Handstop and No Stock, this build lets you snap onto targets fast and stay light on your feet, perfect for a hit-and-run approach. Just make sure to back it up with smooth maneuvering skills, as AR users won’t hesitate to flood you with bullets if you’re caught slipping.
LR 7.62

Slot | Attachment |
---|---|
Muzzle | Monolithic Suppressor (no mini-map firing ping, bullet velocity, damage range) |
Barrel | Long Barrel (damage range) |
Magazine | Fast Mag II (aim down sight speed, reload quickness, sprint to fire speed) |
Rear Grip | Quickdraw Grip (aim down sight speed, jumping aim down sight speed) |
Fire Mods | 7.62 NATO Overpressured (bullet velocity) |
The LR 7.62 is another solid sniper pick, especially if you’re looking for a bit more range than what the LW3A1 Frostline offers. That extra distance comes at a cost, however, with LR’s ADS speed noticeably slower, which can be a problem during intense gunfights.
That’s where this build comes in. By throwing on the Fast Mag II and Quickdraw Grip, you’ll speed up your aim and reload times, making it easier to land quick follow-up shots. Even if you whiff your first shot or you’re dealing with a multiple enemies, you can keep the pressure on with this setup.
HDR

Slot | Attachment |
---|---|
Muzzle | Monolithic Suppressor (no mini-map firing ping, bullet velocity, damage range) |
Barrel | Gain-Twist Barrel (bullet velocity) |
Underbarrel | Lightweight Bipod (aiming idle sway) |
Magazine | Fast Mag II (aim down sight speed, reload quickness, sprint to fire speed) |
Rear Grip | Quickdraw Grip (aim down sight speed, jumping aim down sight speed) |
Stock | Heavy Stock (flinch resistance) |
Laser | Strelok Laser (hipfire to ADS accuracy) |
Fire Mods | 108mm Overpressured (bullet velocity) |
The HDR is back in a big way in Warzone, and honestly, it’s easily the best sniper this season three. If you haven’t unlocked it from the battle pass yet, you’re seriously missing out.
This HDR loadout goes all-in with the Gunfighter wildcard, letting you equip eight attachments to turn it into an absolute beast. The gun already hits hard at long range, but with the Gain-Twist Barrel, 108mm Overpressured mod, and Monolithic Suppressor, it’s built to drop enemies even past the 90-meter mark. To keep your aim sharp, the Strelok Laser gives you better control when switching from hipfire to ADS, and the Heavy Stock helps you stay steady when you’re under fire.
If you’re running Overkill and packing an AR or SMG as your secondary, you can drop the underbarrel, laser, and stock without hurting your overall performance. The HDR still hits hard with the rest of the setup.
Best class setup for snipers in Warzone season 3

If you’re rocking Overkill and need a solid secondary, go with the CR-56 AMAX or AK-74 for an AR, or the C9 or Saug if you’re leaning toward an SMG. But if you’re using Gunfighter, especially for the HDR, the Grekhova pistol is a great pick.
Smoke Grenade is a must for your tactical equipment. It gives you quick cover when you’re getting overwhelmed or need to make a run for safety. For lethals, the Blast Trap or Spring Mine are both good options, as they give you a heads-up if someone’s sneaking up from behind.
As for perks, here’s the setup you’ll want:
- Perk 1: Survivor – speeds up your health regen and revive times, keeping you in the fight longer.
- Perk 2: Cold-Blooded – keeps you off the radar by blocking AI targeting, thermal scopes, and certain recon perks.
- Perk 3: Birds-eye – expands your UAV range, shows which direction enemies are moving, and even lets you spot players using Ghost.
