Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 doesn’t give you the option to play Early Access, and everyone can only start playing it at the same time.

There is an expectation for most AAA games to have Early Access as a pre-order incentive. The strategy has become so prevalent that it’s almost odd when a big-time game doesn’t include the option. Not everyone falls in line with philosophy, though, with Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, another example of this.

Sandfall Interactive also looks to have opted out, too. Meaning, if you want to play Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 as soon as possible, you need to wait until launch. None of its editions (even the most expensive one) includes an Early Access selection, so we’re counting down the seconds along with you!

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Editions

There are four different versions of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 to consider: Standard, Digital Deluxe, Lumiere Edition, and Collector’s Edition.

If you’re interested, we do have an in-depth guide to Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’s editions.

What you need to know is (just to reiterate) there is no Early Access with any of them, and you can score a range of digital and physical bonuses from in-game cosmetics and DLC to a physical music box to store as memorabilia.

It feels like we’ve not an impactful AAA, turn-based RPG for a while. With Final Fantasy’s gameplay shift in the last decade, this can fill a void. Let us know if you think this is the case in the Insider Gaming Forum.
