Does Oblivion Remastered Have All DLC?

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is sure to be one of 2025’s biggest success stories. The remaster polishes and touches up all aspects of the original for a more refined experience, but we need to know if Bethesda has included all the original DLC in Oblivion Remastered.

Oblivion was a groundbreaking RPG when it was first released. It was a vast land filled with everything you could want from an open-world game, and it was a great example of how powerful the Xbox 360 and PS3 consoles were, and what could be achieved with new hardware. Rumors of an Oblivion remaster have never gone away, and the dream became reality in April 2025.

Oblivion Remastered is finally out, and looks incredible. But if you’re considering this as a purchase, you should know the status of DLC and what’s included.

Is All DLC Included in Oblivion Remastered?

Bethesda’s special Oblivion Remastered showcase announced that all previous DLC from the original is included in the remaster.

It’s the news you want, we want, and even the Adoring Fan was desperate for. The Oblivion Remastered upgrade includes any DLC previously seen in Oblivion. This includes the content-rich expansion packs and other handy bonuses.

All Oblivion Remastered DLC Explained

The Oblivion Remastered DLC features the Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine expansions along with new quests, armor sets, and much more.

However, before you celebrate too hard, not all of the content is free.

Below is a handy table showing you what’s free and which goodies are only available through the Deluxe Edition of the remaster.

Type of Content How to Get it
Shivering Isles Expansion DLC Included with All Editions
Knights of the Nine Expansion DLC Included with All Editions
Extra DLC items Included with All Editions
Quests for Akatosh & Mehrunes Armor, Weapon & Horse Armor Sets Deluxe Edition

The big win here is the inclusion of Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine for free. I imagine there would have been ruckus and commotion had they been paid nearly 20 years later.

However, having Horse Armor as essentially paid DLC is going to irk people. I completely understand, as you feel all content for a remaster should be included. Nevertheless, if you want everything in Oblivion Remastered, the Deluxe Edition is the way to go.

What do you think of Bethesda’s decision to lock Horse Armor behind a more expensive edition? Should it have been a free inclusion? Should there even be a Deluxe Edition in the first place?
