One of the best aspects of Bethesda games, however, is the community-created mods, although they are not available on all platforms, as explained in this guide.

Is there mod support for Oblivion Remastered?

No, there is no official mod support for Oblivion Remastered, even though it has enjoyed a two-decade love affair with modding from the Elder Scrolls community and arrives on the back of its successor, Skyrim, receiving mod support along with other Bethesda titles, such as Starfield.

No explanation was given for this, although the FAQs on the Bethesda website make it abundantly clear that the feature is lacking. Though that doesn’t necessarily mean the door is closed forever, it does seem unlikely mod support will arrive in Oblivion Remastered.

This is mostly due to the time it would take to implement mod support when the wait for the next entry in the Elder Scrolls series is already so vast. It’s now been 14 years since Skyrim first released and seven years since Elder Scrolls 6 was announced, with the title finally entering production in 2023 following the launch of Starfield.
