Bethesda Game Studios has sat down to reveal The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered. It’s the perfect way for the company to fill the gargantuan gulf that stands between gamers and The Elder Scrolls 6. Talking of that game, the project was touched upon very briefly by Bethesda’s Todd Howard during the 20-minute reveal walkthrough for Oblivion Remastered.
It’s not the update that fans were looking for, but it’s the tiny one that we have.
It’s Still Coming
In the opening moments of the monumental 20-minute reveal trailer for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, Todd Howard name-dropped The Elder Scrolls 6:
Obviously, we’re working on the sixth chapter here, but what’s great about The Elder Scrolls is being able to look back at all of the chapters.
That’s it.
That’s the update.
If you want to hear it for yourself, you can check out the opening minute or so of the below Oblivion Remastered trailer:
It has been several years since Bethesda Game Studios revealed The Elder Scrolls 6, and we still know just about nothing about the game. We know that it’s coming, but we haven’t got the first clue what it’ll look like.
However, if the recently revealed Oblivion Remastered title is anything to go by, it could be another stellar open-world epic from Bethesda.
In terms of the timeline, Bethesda Game Studios will finish work on Starfield, devote all its attention to The Elder Scrolls 6, and then we’ll likely see Fallout 5 emerge in a decade or something.
Oblivion Remastered is out now if you want to get to work filling that gap. It comes with all DLC and it’s out on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PlayStation 5.
