Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy has been ongoing for many years. We know the final part of the installment is on the way, but its development looks to be going well, as Cloud Strife’s voice actor Cody Christian is already in the booth recording dialogue.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3’s story is already finished. We’re all waiting to see how Square wraps up the story, and players are invested, as it wasn’t long ago Rebirth broke Steam records. Part 3 should give us a dramatic conclusion, which inevitably leads to the final showdown between Cloud and Sephiroth.
We know Part 3 is getting a multi-platform release, and evidence has surfaced that dialogue is being captured.
Voice Actors Back in Studio For Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3

Cody Christian took the mantle as Cloud Strife’s voice in 2020. They’d previously built up a reputation in various TV and movie roles, but Christian’s performance as Cloud has rightfully garnered acclaim.
The voice actor has reprised the role in 2022’s Crisis Core and 2024’s Final Fantasy Rebirth. We learned on April 24 that they’re back in the voice-over booth to help wrap up the remake trilogy.
X user @Kevin_Cabeza14 spotted Christian’s Instagram story, which sported the caption: “So happy to be back with my bestie.”
The biggest telltale sign that this is for Final Fantasy Part 3 is the mini-drawing of Cloud Strife above the line. This surely means Part 3’s development is moving along smoothly.
A 2024 message from @aitaikimochi translates an interview with Final Fantasy Remake director Tetsuya Nomura. They talk about the trilogy’s development and how Rebirth took 3 years to make and release. They hope to stick with this timeframe for Part 3—indicating a 2027 release date.
