Forget Oblivion Remastered, The “Boblivion” Mod Deserves Your Attention

The modding community knows how to have fun. While many around the world are waiting for the Oblivion Remaster to drop, another veritable chunk of Elder Scrolls goodness awaits in the Boblivion mod.

Bethesda unveiled the long-awaited Oblivion Remaster on April 21 after rampant speculation, rumors, leaks, and even Xbox Support messages. It means that 19 years later, we get to revisit Oblivion all over again.

But it doesn’t mean we should forget about glorious mods. Skyblivion is still getting its 2025 go-ahead, and the Boblivion mod is also another humorous twist on the legendary RPG.

The Boblivion mod is available on Nexus Mods, and its creator is not lying when they say everything in the game is now Bob—see the screenshot above for proof.

Its creator has this to say about Boblivion: “This changes literally every single thing in the base game to ‘Bob’ literally everything, well, 99% of everything. When I figure out how to change the rest, I’ll probably update it along with all the DLC. This breaks dialogue, though, because all races are now Bob. But you can still talk to people telepathically. Although all they have to say is “Bob.”

Admittedly, it’s not the deepest mod out there, and the nature of the changes is limited, but if your name is Bob, you’re a fan of the name Bob, or just like the word, you’re sure to get a kick out of this mod.

This post is a bit of fun, and Boblivion is unlikely to usurp the anticipation for Oblivion Remastered!
