How Many People Are Playing Oblivion Remastered Right Now? Player Count Explained

Bethesda’s Oblivion Remastered has sucked players in already. New Cyrodiil citizens who have bought into the hype, anticipation, and eventual release of a legend. If you’re interested in the numbers, we have the latest information on Oblivion Remastered’s player count.

Player count stats are as searched as ever. Along with Metacritic scores, the gaming community is intensely interested in metrics. Is the game reviewing well? Is it selling well? We all want to know the ins and outs. A player count can be a clear indicator of how popular a release is and can determine its chances of success.

Oblivion Remastered is as big as a remaster or remake gets in terms of popularity and demand. Bethesda would surely hope the player count reflects the desire to see the RPG return in a new capacity.

Oblivion Remastered Player Count

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered player count reached an all-time peak of 182,298 on Steam within 12 hours of its shadow-drop launch.

A usual with these player count guides, there are factors to consider. Again, there is still no metric or data-tracking software to accurately measure a game’s player count on console or other platforms. So, Oblivion Remastered’s other platforms will remain a mystery until Bethesda makes a statement on overall player count numbers.

Even though Oblivion Remastered was a ‘shadow-drop,’ I use the term in the loosest possible sense. I think the world knew it was coming, and it’s no secret we covered its accidental leak and premature file size reveal. The world was ready, and the early player count numbers show this.

Oblivion Remastered crossed the 100K threshold within two hours of release. It took a further eight hours to hit its current all-time peak of 182,298 (at the time of writing). It’s been hovering at just under 100K concurrent during what’s considered off-peak hours, and the number is expected to go up again.

The weekend of April 25-27 is likely to see the peak player count number for Oblivion Remastered rise again.

Is it Worth Playing Oblivion Remastered?

Oblivion Remastered is 100% worth playing and is an incredible remaster of one of the all-time great RPGs.

I’ve already invested several hours in Bethesda’s remastered world—courtesy of Virtuous—and it’s like being back in the mid-2000s again. I was an impressionable teenager enamored by a type of game I’d never experienced before. Oblivion was ahead of its time, and the 2025 remaster captures the energy and feeling perfectly.
