How Much Does Oblivion Remastered Cost?

While the Oblivion Remastered launch is no longer a fantasy, the hard work that’s gone into it raises questions about its cost and prices for its editions. Bethesda’s classic RPG is back and better than ever, so let’s dissect its editions and how much they will set you back.

Oblivion Remastered is a genuine dream come true. It was the first game I ever owned on my PlayStation 3 and opened my eyes to a new era of gaming. Bethesda’s portfolio has grown considerably since, but I argue that Oblivion is the company’s open-world magnum opus.

All things considered, Bethesda is entitled to charge a premium for an in-demand game.

The Standard Edition of Oblivion Remastered costs $49.99 or £49.99.

If you’re a UK resident like me, you have to pay the same figure as a US resident—there’s no conversion this time.

Usually, the Standard Edition comes with the base copy of a game, and that’s it. Oblivion Remastered is fairly generous and offers lots of the original DLC as free content as part of the overall offering. This is a huge dub if you want to play the Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine expansion content.

The Standard Edition also features a bunch of extra DLC goodies and cosmetics. The less said about Bethesda’s decision to once again charge for Horse Armor content, the better.

Oblivion Remastered Deluxe Edition Price & What’s Included

You must fork out $59.99 and £59.99 for the Oblivion Remastered Deluxe Edition.

There’s also no regional price difference with the Deluxe Edition. If you choose to buy it, you get all the content mentioned above—such as Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine—and you also get new Quests for Akatosh & Mehrunes Armor, Weapon & the aforementioned Horse Armor Sets.

Additionally, a snazzy Digital Artbook and Soundtrack App are thrown into the mix for good measure. For an extra $10 or £10, the extra content might be worth it!

The price tag is about what we expected Oblivion Remastered to cost. Do you think it’s fair and reasonable? Did you expect Bethesda to charge even more for it? Let us know in the comments and on our active IG Forum.
