Oblivion Remastered: How To Get Armor & Weapons Of Cataclysm (Burning Trail Quest)
Players can get the Weapons and Armor of Cataclysm, which are part of the Oblivion Remastered Deluxe edition, by completing the Burning Trail quest.
While Vampirism comes with a few handy perks, it also brings serious downsides, especially during daytime exploration. Luckily, there are ways to cure it, both before and after the transformation. This guide explains how to cure Vampirism in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.
How To Cure Vampirism Before Turning Into A Vampire In Oblivion Remastered
Upon encountering a Vampire and taking a few hits, you might notice a message saying that you have contracted Porphyric Hemophilia. This basically starts a timer, which is three in-game days, before you completely transform into a vampire. This means that you have more than enough time to look for a cure in that window. The quickest way is to travel to any Chapel and use the Altar of the Nine to completely cure yourself.
Players can also use a Cure Disease potion if they have one in their inventory. These can sometimes be found inside barrels, but you can also purchase them from Claudette Perrick inside The Gilded Carafe in the Imperial City Market District. She sells them for 270 Gold, but you can lower the price by haggling with her. If you are unable to cure yourself using these methods, sleeping after the third day will trigger a long message confirming that you have now become a Vampire.
How To Cure Vampirism After Turning Into A Vampire In Oblivion Remastered
After turning into a Vampire, you must be cautious, as moving around during the daytime will drain your health, especially if you do not feed. An easy way to feed is to wait until nighttime and feed off sleeping NPCs. Most houses are locked, so you can resort to feeding on the homeless in some cities. Curing yourself after turning into a Vampire is a long and tedious process, but it is the only option if players do not want to remain Vampires throughout their playthrough. The first thing you need to do is head to the Arcane University, south of the Imperial City, and talk to Raminus Polus.
You can find him in the Lobby and don’t need access to the full University. Ask him for a cure to Vampirism, and he will tell you to go and see Count Hassildor in Skingrad. Fast travel to Castle Skingrad and head up the stairs on the right to enter the County Hall.
You might need to lockpick the door, but this has an average difficulty, so it should be fairly easy.
Once inside, head down the hall and talk to Hal-Liurz, steward to Count Skingrad. Tell her that you have to see the Count and that it is about the cure for Vampirism. If you talk to Hal-Liurz before speaking to Raminus Polus, you will not get this option, and she will tell you off, saying the Count won’t talk to you without an appointment.
The steward will tell you to wait in the hall, and the Count will come to meet you shortly. To speed this up, you can wait for one hour, which will instantly start the conversation with Janus Hassildor. He will tell you the story of how he and his wife were also turned into Vampires, and how his wife no longer wishes to live her life this way, so he needs a cure as well. Upon accepting his request, you will receive the “Vampire Cure” quest, and you must make your way south of Cheydinhal to find the witch. An easy way to do this is to fast travel to the stables there and move south, either on horseback or on foot.
Once you reach Drakelowe, head inside the cabin to find Melisande, who will agree to help you, but asks that you do something for her first. She wants you to bring her five Grand Soul Gems, which should be empty.

Oblivion Remastered: Blood of Daedra Quest Walkthrough
Here’s all you need to know to complete the Blood of Daedra quest in Oblivion Remastered. Also, you will find a list of all Daedric Artifacts.
Now, if you are doing this quest early on in the game, there is a very low chance you have even one Grand Soul Gem on you, so you will have to do quite a bit of traveling, being careful not to travel in daylight if your transformation has advanced.
First, travel to Mystic Emporium in the Imperial City Market District and purchase all the Grand Soul Gems Calindil is selling. He might only have one or two, meaning you will still need more. The next best option is to travel to the Mage’s Guilds in the different cities. There are certain NPCs that might have a few Grand Soul Gems in their stock, which you can purchase for 200–300 Gold. While you’re there, if you haven’t already joined the Mage’s Guild, you can do so, which is free of cost and doesn’t require completing any tasks. You might even find some Grand Soul Gems lying inside cabinets, which are locked, but you can lockpick them during the night and steal them.
After you have gathered all five, head back to Melisande and give her the Soul Gems. She will then tell you the recipe for the cure to Vampirism, which consists of a few ingredients you’ll need to bring back to her. Here are all the ingredients and how to obtain them:
- Six Cloves of Garlic – Fast travel to the Imperial City Prison and head inside the Imperial Legion Office to grab the garlic from the cabinet in the back.
- Two Bloodgrass – Head to Claudette Perrick inside The Gilded Carafe, who sells this item.
- Five Nightshade – You can find Nightshade out in the forests. There is a good spot with multiple Nightshades just south of Skingrad.
- Blood of Argonian – For this, the witch will give you a dagger, which you can use to strike a friendly or hostile Argonian once to collect the blood.
- Vampire Dust – This will be marked on your map, and you can go to North Panther River to kill Hindaril and loot his corpse for the Ashes. The cave is filled with other enemies as well, so be careful not to aggro multiple enemies at the same time to avoid getting overwhelmed. Any ordinary ashes from a Vampire will not work.
Once you have all the ingredients with you, head back to Melisande, and she will tell you to wait 24 hours while she brews the potion. After the time has passed, she will give you two Vampirism Cure Potions. You can use one on yourself and take the other to Hal-Liurz, who will then escort you to the Count. After your interaction with the Count, you must go back to the Hall and wait 24 more hours, after which the Count will reward you with 5,000 Gold, completing the quest.
