There are a number of Restoration spells in Oblivion Remastered, which heal the player. To use these, equip the spell in the Magic menu, and ideally bind it to a spot on the Shortcut Wheel to make switching between spells easier in combat.
With a spell such as Heal Minor Wounds equipped and visible in the bottom right as a heart, press Right Bumper on the controller or C on the keyboard.
- Heal Minor Wounds: 8 HP – All players start with this.
- Heal Major Wounds: 25 HP – Purchased from various sellers of spells.
- Heal Greater Wounds: 40 HP – Purchased from advanced sellers of spells.
- Heal Superior Wounds: 100 HP – Purchased from advanced sellers of spells.
- Heal Legendary Wounds: 180 HP – Bought from Borissean, Isa Raman, & Tumindil.
- Night Mother’s Caress: 20 HP – Bought from M’raaj-Dar.
The stronger the heal, the more Magicka it will cost, meaning players will need to vastly improve their Intelligence Attribute. There are also a few Convalescence spells to heal allies, and the Absorb Health spell can steal HP from enemies.
Healing Potions In Oblivion Remastered
Potions of Healing come in three strengths, restoring different amounts of Health.
- Weak: 20 Health
- Normal: 35 Health
- Strong: 50 Health
They can be crafted via Alchemy, found as loot, or purchased from certain merchants. To use them, simply click on them or assign them to the Shortcut Wheel.

Healing Food In Oblivion Remastered
Some food items in Oblivion Remastered restore health. To see which ones, look at their effects when hovering over them in the menu. Meat typically heals, whereas food such as bread restores Fatigue.

If players are extremely low on Health and anything else, for that matter, with no way to heal for their next fight, they can simply find a bed. Sleeping in a bed or a simple bedroll will not only restore all Vitals to full, but this mechanic is also used to level up in Oblivion Remastered.
