This guide details all the romance options you can pursue in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, including at what point in the game’s story you can begin them.

All Romance Options in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Main Romance Options

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 How to Romance Hans Capon

While romancing characters in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is optional, here are all the romance options you can expect to encounter, from main romances to short-term flings:

Hans Capon

By the time Henry of Skalitz and Hans Capon reach Troskowitz in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, they’ve already survived a lot together. The game also eventually lets you take your friendship with Hans to the next level, with the first opportunity to express a romantic interest in Hans becoming available at the start of ‘Back in the Saddle’ shortly after rescuing him from a grisly fate in ‘For Whom the Bell Tolls.’ You can then romance Hans by choosing the heart dialogue option whenever it shows up in conversation, with other chances to flirt showing up in ‘Taking French Leave’ and ‘The Italian Job.’

Altogether, it takes a long time to romance Hans, and you’ll have to wait until the ‘Hunger and Despair’ main quest towards the end of the game for the opportunity to kiss him. However, if you decide to pursue Katherine instead of Hans at that point, some players report that romancing one prevents doing so with the other.

Katherine

If you’re eager to romance the mysterious woman in blue named Katherine, you’ll have to wait until you reach Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2‘s ‘The Sword and the Quill’ main quest to get the chance to start impressing her. Although she initially pretends not to know Henry early on in the game, Katherine becomes one of the core romance options in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 as you progress, with more opportunities to romance Katherine as the story continues. Key quests for romancing Katherine include ‘The Fifth Commandment’ side quest and later in the ‘Hunger and Despair’ main quest, provided you have gained a high enough reputation with her. You’ll also need to focus on improving Henry’s skills in charisma, speech, and scholarship for the best chances of wooing her.

Klara

You first meet Klara during Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2‘s ‘Back in the Saddle’ quest, giving Henry time to kill at Nebakov Fortress while Hans is playing diplomat. One of the things you can do while waiting is help gather herbs for Klara, but things can soon get a bit steamy in the woods if you solve Klara’s riddle. Later on, during ‘The Finger of God’ quest, you also get the chance to romance Klara again after helping her heal some of the wounded men from battle, leading to the option to spend the night with her.

This guide will help players find Rosa’s book during the Taking French Leave quest in KCD2, which can lead to a romance down the line.

Margaret

Another romance option in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is Margaret, who you can meet at the mill southwest of Bylany in the Kuttenberg region, where she’s trapped inside. After freeing Margaret, you can find her later begging near the inn between Kuttenburg and Miskowitz. You can romance her at your own risk after helping her blackmail Latsek. While you can kiss and spend the night together, she’ll also rob you of 250 Groschen.

Rosa

You first meet Lady Rosa, Lord Ruthard’s daughter, in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2′s ‘Via Argentum’ main quest and start impressing her by reading and retrieving her book in ‘Taking French Leave.’ You later can romance Rosa in her room during the ‘Orates’ main quest, with Henry’s scholarship, reputation, and her book being key in romancing her.

One-Off Romance Options in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 bathhouse

In the Kuttenberg and Trosky regions of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, there are also opportunities to obtain the Time Well Spent buff by spending time with bathhouse maids in bathhouses across the city, which gives you a +1 boost in strength, agility, and vitality when you engage in a romantic encounter. In addition to various bathhouse maids across the map, there are also a handful of other one-off romance options you can find at different points in the main story, as follows:

Black Bartosch

Towards the start of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2‘s ‘For Victory’ quest, you can join in the festivities before marching into battle the following morning, which can mean a chance for romance with one of two characters. The first romance option for the night is Black Bartosch, who you can meet earlier during ‘For Whom the Bell Tolls.’ However, it’s only during ‘For Victory’ that you can romance Black Bartosh. During the feast, you can talk to Black Bartosch, who you can find standing near the main table, and ask him about the local girls for the opportunity to spend the night with him.

Widow Johanka

The second short-lived romance option during ‘For Victory’ is Widow Johanka, one of the guests sitting at the table you can chat with during the feast. If you choose the correct dialogue options when speaking with Widow Johanka to impress her, she’ll ask you to escort her outside, and you get the chance to spend the night together after choosing the heart romance dialogue option.

Doubravka

Doubravka is one of the short-lived romance options in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 as someone you can meet and dance with at the Semine wedding in the ‘Wedding Crashers’ main story quest. It quickly becomes apparent why no one is asking Doubravka to dance as she continues to stumble and stand on your feet. While it’s easy to upset her even while trying to be kind, later it’s possible to encounter some additional romantic scenes with Doubravka, including the opportunity to spend some time alone with her.

Myshka

Another short-lived romance option in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2‘s ‘Wedding Crashers’ quest is Myshka, who you can rescue from Vuytek’s failed attempts to woo her at the wedding with some cringe-worthy poetry. She’ll dance with you if you rescue her from Vuytek’s advances, then lead you to the nearby pond for a private chat. Altogether, it’s more of a dance and chat situation than any sort of full-on romance.

Lousy Mary

Lastly, one romance option in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 that some players might not necessarily come across is Lousy Mary, a character you can encounter in the game’s ‘Into the Underworld’ main quest. When speaking with Madam Beata at the City Bathhouse, you can also find and talk with Lousy Mary. While it doesn’t sound like the best name for a romantic encounter, she’ll offer you a drink and some fun for the night.

Some players also report romance is possible when playing as Father Godwin, notably during ‘The King’s Gambit’ main quest. Here, Godwin could potentially have a one-night romance with one of three ladies under certain conditions providing he passes certain speech checks. Ultimately, fans of Henry and Theresa’s romance in the original game may prefer to remain faithful in her honor. Those not interested in romance might also want to forgo any romance options.
