Madden 26 Set For August 14 Release Date, Arriving Sooner With Early Access

Gaming leaker billbil-kun is back again, this time with a big scoop on Madden NFL 26. In a translated report for Dealabs, they’ve claimed Madden 26 will be announced: “No later than April 25, 2025.”
They’ve also said: “The release date of Madden NFL 26 in Standard Edition is set for August 14, 2025.” Madden 25’s Standard Edition was released on Aug. 16, 2024, so it fits the timeframe.
Also, the usual incentives and editions will be available for players who want more and want Madden early. “Deluxe Edition owners will be able to enjoy 3-day early access. EA Play members (included in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate) will also be eligible for a 10-hour trial starting August 11, 2025,” they confirmed.
We already know EA FC and Madden are coming to Switch 2 at some point, and billbil-kun adds: “This will be an opportunity to find out if Madden NFL 26 will be available on the Nintendo Switch 2.” It’s not official if Madden 26 is the first Switch 2 game to launch alongside PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, but there’s every chance it will.
What does Madden 26 need to do differently to get it right in 2025? Are EA capable of making a great American Football game anymore? Let us know in the comments, and be sure to head to the Insider Gaming Forum to discuss it further.
