The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered offers players the possibility of revisiting Cyrodiil with new and enhanced graphics, and lots of improvements to its combat system and UI. Among those improvements, a fully developed 3rd person view is one of the most popular features addressed with the newest version of the game.

And players are eager to try enjoying the Oblivion crisis from a fully animated third-person perspective. So, let’s get to how players can activate 3rd person view, and how they can increase the Vertical FOV to make the most of this mode.
How To Activate 3rd Person In Oblivion Remastered
To activate 3rd Person, players need to activate the default key (MB3 on PC, R3 on Xbox and PS5). That way, players can enjoy a full 360º perspective during combat, and always be ready for enemies attacking from the flanks and the back. It is also great for stealth players, since it allows them to be more aware of enemies moving around the corners, so they can execute sneak attacks with ease.
Contrary to Skyrim in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, 3rd Person Combat is fully integrated and feels spectacular. The only problem is that the camera is set to a certain FOV by default, so players need to adjust the Field of View themselves to make it more suitable to their tastes. Let’s check how to do that next.

Health is one of the most important attributes in Oblivion, and increasing HP is key to surviving the most difficult quests in the game.
How To Increase 3rd Person Field Of View In Oblivion Remastered
To adjust 3rd Person FOV (Field Of View) in Oblivion Remastered, players need to enter the main menu and follow these steps:
- Open the graphic settings, and scroll down.
- Select ‘FOV 3rd-Person,’ and adjust the gauge accordingly.
- Press ‘Apply Changes’ and close the menu.
Once players adjust it, they need to return to the game and check if the parameters suit their tastes. On the contrary, if they are not satisfied they can go back to the menu to adjust them again. It is also important to mention that hitting the 3rd Person View Button will toggle between first person, the regular Third Person View, and Max FOV Third Person View once it is set.
Adjusting the FOV will only change the camera and perspective settings and will not affect the UI, which will continue to display Stamina, Health, and Mana bars as default. It is possible to adjust the interface size from the Gameplay Settings Menu, located to the right side of the Graphics menu.
How To Adjust First Person FOV In Oblivion Remastered
It is also possible to adjust First Person FOV in the same way, and the option is right above the 3rd Person FOV gauge. Adjusting it will change the overall distance of the First Person Mode, turning it into a more panoramic view of what lies in front of the player. By default, the First Person View is set at 70 FOV. The reticle and the visibility distance will not change, but players will be able to notice a difference in the angle at which the equipped weapon is seen.
