How to Beat Jamanra, The Abomination in Path Of Exile 2
As befits a boss, Jamanra is incredibly durable and hits painfully. So you should count on a lengthy fight and accordingly worry about your survival. You will need modifiers to restore Mana and Life, as well as flasks with gain charge modifiers.
Jamanra, The Abomination has two phases in Path Of Exile 2. Fortunately, at the beginning of the second phase, your flask charges will be restored. It is also worth noting the weakness of the boss, namely Cold damage. At the same time, it has resistance to such types of damage as Fire, Physical, and Lightning.
Finally, Jamanra mainly deals Lightning and a little Physical damage. Therefore, a good choice would be to choose gear with resistance to Lightning.
Now that you have prepared your character for the upcoming battle, you need to learn about Jamanra, The Abomination’s attacks in Path Of Exile 2, which are many in each of the phases.
Phase 1
- Thunder Spears – The boss creates two spears in front of him, and when they hit the ground, they explode. To avoid damage, stand behind Jamanra.
- Thunder Spear Throw – The boss creates a spear and then throws it at you. Wait for the right time to dodge this attack.
- Spinning Chain Thunder Pillars – Two pillars with a lightning chain between them will spawn on the map and spin in a circle. Either run to the other side of the map or dodge in time, otherwise, you will receive significant damage.
- Straight Chain Thunder Pillars – Two pillars like the previous attack will appear on the map, but now they will move straight toward you. It is easier to dodge the chain lightning here, but be ready to react fast, as Jamanra uses this attack several times in a row.
- Lightning Beams – The boss releases two lightning beams in front of him and spreads them out to the sides. We recommend standing behind Jamanra to avoid damage.
- Sandstorm – One of the most dangerous attacks, as it covers almost the entire map with a sandstorm that deals huge damage. Luckily, Asala will create a barrier behind which you can wait out the attack and fight the summons.
Phase 2
- Random Lightning Strikes – Small piles of black rocks will appear on the map that will be struck by lightning, dealing area damage. You just need to run away from the piles.
- Tornado – The boss will spawn one or more tornadoes that roam the arena. The best way to avoid taking damage from them is to be on the opposite side of the map.
- Sword Slash – Jamanra, The Abomination raises the sword above his head and, after a short delay, strikes in your direction. During the delay, the boss carefully aims at you, so you must dodge at the very last moment to avoid damage.
- Halberd Sweep – Jamanra summons a halberd and swings it in front of him in a wide arc. To counter this attack, you need to dodge towards or away from the boss, as the halberd does not hit the space close to the Jamanra. It is also a good option to go behind him.
- Projectile Gates – Several gates spawn on the map from which projectiles will fire permanently. It is better to wait out this attack further away or dodge through the stream of projectiles, which is risky.
- Lightning Orbs – Lightning will strike the map at several points, where lightning orbs will appear and move in a straight line. Try to move to the side of the map opposite the movement of the orbs.
- Thunder Spears Barrage – The boss summons many small thunder spears above his head and shoots them at you. Do not stop moving until the attack ends, otherwise, you will receive a large portion of the damage.
- Lightning Barricade – Two thunder pillars with chain lightning between them spawn on the map. Even though they don’t move, they make it much harder for you to move. As with other similar attacks, roll dodge will be your solution.
- Thunder Spear Throw V2 – Like in the first phase, the boss throws a thunder spear at you, but now it explodes where it hits. The best way to avoid the attack is dodging at the last moment.
