Pokemon GO Adding New Dynamax Pokemon

Niantic has announced the debut of Dynamax Suicune in a new Max Battle Weekend starting on May 10 in Pokemon GO, with players having the chance to catch a Shiny one. The legendary Suicune comes following the recent addition of Dynamax Entei and Raikou to Pokemon GO.

Niantic’s massively popular Pokemon mobile game continues thriving and steadily bringing a wealth of content. Contrary to what some players feared, Pokemon GO is not shutting down under Scopely’s new ownership, and players can rest assured that upcoming updates and events will continue in the game. In fact, Niantic is adding Kingambit, a Generation 9 Dark/Steel-type Pokemon, during the Crown Clash event from May 10–18, and a new event featuring baby Pokemon starting on May 2 has also been revealed. Hot on the heels of all these announcements, the developer is adding a new Dynamax Pokemon.

Starting on Saturday, May 10, Dynamax Suicune will debut in five-star Max Battles, and some lucky players may also get their hands on Pokemon GO’s Shiny Suicune. Several bonuses will be available during the event, increasing the Max Particle collection limit, making Power Spots refresh more frequently, and more. Before the event even begins, on May 5, a bonus reducing the cost for unlocking and powering up Max Moves will be active, though to apply for this bonus, players need to first collect all Max Particles available in the Nearby menu.
