Cooking RuneScape Dragonwilds

To start cooking in RuneScape: Dragowilds, players will need to craft a basic Campfire, which is made with 6 x Ash Logs and 4 x Stones. Once players have gone through the first basics of crafting, which are collecting Dirty Water and turning it into Clean Water, they will be able to elaborate on other things like Dried Redberries and Rat Roast.

But just the basics won’t be enough to turn players into Masterchefs: They will need to level up their skill by cooking even more delicious dishes that require the Cooking Pot, the second crafting station related to this skill.

To unlock the Cooking Pot, simply go and hunt some Cows, which drop Animal Bones, and the recipe will be unlocked automatically. Now, craft this new station, and players should notice there are 2 Ingredient Slots available. Now, players will need to gather lots of ingredients to level up Cooking really fast. Don’t worry. In the next section, players will find lots of farming spots for basic ingredients like potatoes, raw bird meat, and cabbage.

8 Beginner Tips For RuneScape Dragonwilds

Here is a list of useful tips and secret mechanics in RuneScape Dragonwilds you should know about before playing the game.

Best Places To Farm Ingredients In RuneScape: Dragonwilds

To level up cooking fast in RuneScape: Dragonwilds, players will need six basic ingredients, which are quite easy to get: Redberries, dirty water, cabbages, raw bird meat, raw rat meat, and potatoes. Raw bird meat drops from chickens (and other bird-like creatures), and raw rat meat from Giant Rats, and there’s a good spawning zone for these, detailed below. Now, let’s talk about veggies.

Redberries are scattered almost everywhere, and they’re small red bushes that players cannot miss. Dirty water can be obtained by simply approaching a body of water like a pond, river, or lake and interacting with it. Cabbages are red-brownish star-shaped plants that grow stuck to the ground, and can be a little bit hard to distinguish, so be on the lookout for them. Potatoes are plants that have some yellowish flowers at the end of various plume-like leaves.

While redberries can be found mostly at Temple Hills and Bramblemead Valley, potatoes and cabbages grow mostly at Bramblemead Valley’s zone. But we could say that the best farming spot for all these ingredients is the area around the Ruined Village (next to the Wise Old Man’s Tower) and where the Restless Spirit spawns.

Pick at least 250 dirty water, 100 redberries, 40 raw bird meat, 40 rat meat, 40 potatoes, and 40 cabbages before moving forward with this guide. That way, players will be able to use the suggested Cooking Exp farming method with better results.

Best Place To Farm Redberries

Redberries RuneScape Dragonwilds

The best place to farm redberries in RuneScape: Dragonwilds is located in Bramblemead Valley, right next to the broken tower where players meet the Wise Old Man for the second time. There are 3 bushes behind the tower, and 3 more up the hill. Then there are 4 bushes to the left, in the cliff zone.

Best Place To Farm Potatoes And Cabbage

Potatoes can be obtained by the bunch in the Ruined Village Zone of Bramblemead Valley. These grow mostly around the houses and next to the road, alongside some cabbage and flax. Mind the goblins, though, as they roam the zone and can attack the players at any given time.

Just on the outskirts of the Village, near the well, there is a small clearing with 8 cabbage plants growing around. On the other side of the clearing, approaching the creek, there’s another potato farming spot and more cabbages to pick.

Best Place To Farm Raw Bird/Rat Meat

From the spawning spot for the Restless Spirit, go to the opposite shore of the lake. There’s a huge chicken farming spot with dozens of birds scattered around, so let’s pluck some feathers and collect that raw bird meat.

In the same area, there are lots of giant rats roaming around, and if players follow the trail back to Temple Hills, they will surely find more near the Mill and around it.

How To Farm Cooking Skill Experience In RuneScape: Dragonwilds

To farm cooking skill experience fast, players will need to have unlocked the Artisan Skill Spell called Superheat, which is unlocked at Level 20. By crafting items at their base, players will reach Level 20 of Artisan quite fast, so they should be able to do it before proceeding.

Now, the secret to this method is to craft 4 Cooking Pots and place them close by, then pick the basic ingredients mentioned before to create a rotation. First, players should put dirty water and fill all the Cooking Pots with fuel (ash logs) and then start cooking. This process will distill the water into Clean Water, and also raise their cooking level.

Players can use a Weak Focused Cooking Potion to gain even more Cooking Experience while crafting. This potion can be crafted in the Cauldron by using 1x Cabbage, 1x Marrentill, and 1x Clay Vessel.

Players can use Superheat every 20 seconds to empower a station to craft faster, and they should do it as often as possible to speed up the process. Then, use the redberries and the clean water to craft Redberry Infusion, which grants even more Cooking Skill Exp.

After the Redberry Infusion, players can rotate between putting raw bird meat with potatoes or raw rat meat with cabbage to create Meat Stew. This will grant even more experience than before, making them level faster and faster. If players run out of ingredients, they should start picking those cabbages around and cook Fried Cabbage, which is quite easy to do. Follow this process of using Superheat, then cooking, and staying close to pick up the items from the crafting stations.

If players want to become experts at cooking, there’s a complete list of recipes that will aid them in getting even more experience. And there are tons of good farming spots for other useful ingredients in the Whispering Swamp (Harralander, Marrentill, Bittercap Mushroom), and the Fractured Plains (Dwellberries, Onion, Raw Bestial Meat, Raw Farm Meat).
