Should Faith Return To The Buffy The Vampire Slayer Reboot?

Fans wonder if Faith Lelane (Eliza Dushku) could come back for the Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot since she was such a significant part of the original series. When Faith shows up in season 3, she and Buffy can’t stand each other, but they change their minds about each other as time progresses. Redditor @yeahyourebored posted:

“Do we think Eliza will come back to play Faith? What would Faith even be up to- in 2025? Is she still good? Did she go back to evil? A mom with kids, even? I think Eliza was perfectly cast as Faith and still can jump back into the character.”

Faith comes back to Sunnydale to help out for the epic battle in the Buffy series finale, and then appears in a few episodes of the spinoff Angel as she and Angel eventually turn their conflict into friendship. Others pointed out that Dushku has stopped acting. Her last TV appearance was three episodes of Bull that aired in 2017, along with the 2017 TV film The Saint. She also might not want to return to Buffy since, in 2021, Dushku posted a social media message supporting her co-star Charisma Carpenter, who alleged that creator and showrunner Joss Whedon harassed her and behaved inappropriately, as Deadline reported.

Redditor @Aezetry wonders if only Buffy Summers will return for the reboot. While some could argue it’s a shame that Buffy won’t be the main character anymore, at least fans will get to see this smart and strong character again. The fan wrote:
