The Witcher 4 Beta Test Invites Aren’t Real, CD Projekt Red Says

There are no beta test invites being sent out for The Witcher 4. Over the last 24 hours or so, there had been reports that players had been invited to what appeared to be a test for the upcoming game in the series. Unfortunately, though, it’s all fake.

In a post on social media on Wednesday, developer CD Projekt Red confirmed the scam and warned people about falling for the fake invites.

“We’ve been taking the necessary steps to take this fraudulent messaging down,” the studio said. “That said, if you receive any invites to or stumble upon news of one, we kindly ask you to report the scam using the tools available to you in your email client or the social media platform you are using.

“Remember: professional monster slayers don’t fall for scams; they see right through them and slay them!”

The post closed saying that if any beta tests ever happen for The Witcher 4, players will hear about it first through the game’s official social media channels and websites.

The Witcher 4 is currently in development at CD Projekt Red with 411 people working on the game. As far as a release date is concerned, the studio says it shouldn’t be expected until 2027 at the absolute earliest.
